Adventure games were a perfect fit for desktop setups like the Apple, alongside role-playing games. Strategy games could crash when things got interesting and action games were probably better served by consoles.
Sierra games defined the genre. From Mystery House in 1980 and well into the 90s, until the advent of FPS contributed to practically making adventure games a thing of the past.
I have quite a few of these, so expect many more unboxings and Let’s Plays in the near future!
